The sudden passing of Swedish DJ and producer Avicii, born Tim Bergling, has rattled the music world due to Tim’s young age and how “much more” he had left to do in his career. The 28-year-old was found dead in his Muscat, Oman home and his cause of death has not been revealed. Tim’s most popular hits are without a doubt “Wake Me Up” and “Hey Brother.” He stopped touring in 2016 but continued to make music, earning him a nomination at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards.
“The scene was not for me. It was not the shows and not the music. It was always the other stuff surrounding it that never came naturally to me,” he told Billboard magazine, talking about his decision to quit touring. “I’m more of an introverted person in general. It was always very hard for me. I took on board too much negative energy, I think.”
Devastating news about Avicii, a beautiful soul, passionate and extremely talented with so much more to do. My heart goes out to his family. God bless you Tim x
