Manchester United legend Patrice Evra set to sign for West Ham United on short-term deal

Manchester United legend Patrice Evra is set for a sensational return to the Premier League after agreeing to join West Ham United. The Frenchman has been a free agent since being released by Marseille in November after he kicked a fan before a Ligue 1 match.

The 36-year-old spent eight years at OId Trafford before joining Juventus in 2014 but he believes he still has plenty left to offer in the Premier League. Evra spent one season under David Moyes at the Theatre of Dreams and the Scot wants cover at left-back after Arthur Masuaku was suspended for six matches for spitting at an opponent.

West Ham take on Watford at the London Stadium this weekend before a daunting trip to Anfield the following week.
