Meek Mill Denied Bail For His Release From Prison

Meek Mill’s request to be released from prison has been denied.

Things were starting to look up for Meek Mill in his ongoing case as the mission to free him continues. While the rapper’s legal team has done all they can to attempt to get their client out of prison, Meek remains locked up despite evidence of corruption in his case. A request was made for the Philly artist to be released on bail but the judge in his trial has shut him down, denying his bail. Meek has been in prison since November for violating the terms of his probation and, while the rapper’s legal team has argued that Judge Brinkley has a personal vendetta against Meek, this most recent development gives them reasonable cause to continue their doubt.

Brinkley reportedly did not give any reasons regarding her decision to block Meek’s bail, with TMZ citing that the choice “came amidst pressure to open the prison doors for the rapper.” Meek’s arresting officer Reginald Graham has previously been documented on a list of “corrupt” cops due to his criminal behavior and Governor Tom Wolf of Philadelphia has spoken out in support of the “Dreams and Nightmares” rapper.

Meek’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, has told TMZ, “The judge continues to stand alone in supporting Officer Reginald Graham’s perjured testimony as well as his criminal behavior that has been documented.” Due to their believed flaws in the judicial system, Tacopina and the rest of Meek’s legal team will be appealing to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in a renewed effort to secure the rapper’s release from prison.
